Engineer - Quality Program Management

Job Description
Priniciple role of Quality Engineer will be to focus on related quality activities for Eaton standard sourcing process. Work closely with global program management team to achieve quality deliverables for customers and business goals.. Should have strong knowledge on Supplier Quality Deliverables activities like PPAP , DMR , Supplier Development and Manufacturing process like Machining, Casting, Sheet Metal, Electrical components & Rubber Hoses is preferred as per sequence 1. To Ensure compliance & governance of quality deliverables in Sourcing projects as per APQP guidelines. 2. To understand project scope through GPS 2.0 & Ariba Tool 3. QPM work content will be for all assigned projects 4. To track & update Project Tracker as per time plan. 5. To conduct kick off and followup meeting with Cross Functional teams for project execution 6. To track Project requirments and Time plan with CFT and supplier 7. QPM to follow Escalation matrix when required 8. Governance of APQP/PPAP activity ensuring PPAP approval 9. Identify and mitigate risk at project level. 10.To ensure closure of all IRW open action items at the time of PPAP disposition 11.To meet desired KPIs in QPM process. 12.At the end project will be handover to Plant Quality for regular production. 13.During project , QPM to work closely with PPAP team and ensure the PPAP deliverables are met. Also Work closely with other teams like SSA, DMR. 14. QPM team need to identify the level for PPAP wrt to new suppliers / part in discussion with PPAP team. 15.QPM team need to understand the stage wise project deliverables and work hand in hand with project team to achieve the goals. 16. Part criticality undertanding with Engineering team for correct PPAP level identification. Qualifications BE in (Mechanical , Production, Electrical, Electronics & Industrial Engineering) 8 - 10 years’ experience in Quality planning and/or Program management. APQP coordination, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering ,Supplier Development Engineering, Quality, Project Management. Knowledge of Program management , problem solving tools, CI tools (Six Sigma,Kaizen&A3), APQP, PPAP, Core Tools ,GD&T and AIAG. Manufacturing processes such as Electrical and Electronic components(PCBA's and transformers is preferred)/ Molding/Precision machining/Casting /Forging /Stamping is preferred as per sequence. Knowledge on supplier special processes like Heat treatment,Coating and plating will be an added advantage Effective Communication ,Influencing skills- Customers and Suppliers.Interpersonal skills, Strong accoutability ,Conflict management and Escalation Management Time / Priority Management ,Presentation Skills Decision Making and Analytical Mindset Effective Collaboration & Cross Cultural Teamwork What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
