This exciting role offers an opportunity to: The Primary responsibility of this role is to execute various RFX handling with DFM study for commodities like additive manufacturing, PCB/ PCBA, Electrical & Electronic testing, Electric Sheet Metal, Machining, Plastic Injection Molding & Tooling, to cater all End-to-End prototype requirements for the company. Developing the Eco System (Identifying new suppliers) for critical prototyping requirements, Handling of Electronic & Electrical bought outs, should have fare supplier base knowledge on Electrical & Electronics suppliers ecosystem, Electrical Panel assembly & wire Harness etc. • Closure of RFQ for various Prototype related requirements for NPD, NPI & NTI projects • Driving DFM activities for assigned prototype procurement parts • Reading Engineering Drawings & suggesting the best feasible manufacturing process with required tolerances. • Share RFQ with various suppliers to solicit proposals •Conduct supplier qualification & evaluation before awarding contract to supplier • Do comparative analysis of all proposals to identify lowest bidder on landed cost basis •Conduct cost analysis wherever required using TCO, & should cost analysis •Conduct negotiations & meet cost out, cost avoidance goals set by function • Monitoring developmental activities at supplier site. • Ensure first time right part delivery •Ensure material is reached before promised delivery date at Eaton site & meet OTD targets •Ensure suppliers are paid in time •Work on annual rate agreements with suppliers for repeat purchases •Ensure compliance & ethical practices within supply chain •Negotiate with supplier for the best payment terms & work towards improving DPO • Support end to end Product Testing procurement requirements. Qualifications Requirement: Minimum education for this position is a bachelor's in engineering in Electronics Engineering. Master's would be an added advantage. 5 + years of hands-on experience in NPI, NPD, & NTI Prototype sourcing developments & procurement activities. Hands on knowledge of procurement process, additive manufacturing, Sheet Metal, Machining, Plastic Molding & Tooling & PCBA, Manufacturing process of PCBA, Electrical & Electronic Product Testing. Should have fare supplier base knowledge on Electrical Testing & PCBA/PCB Manufacturing suppliers' ecosystem. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, Sound Technical Understanding, Fact based Negotiation skills, Interpersonal skills, Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
