The product site safety and compliance engineer is responsible for the correct execution of E2E SCR process in the sites. This position also maintains a local network to relevant certification bodies and manage approbation with country organizations for products developed in his site

You are responsible for:

  • Supports safety and compliance function (SCR) performing the required activities that assure compliance with domestic and international regulatory agency requirements and standards

  • Ensure safety and regulatory approval teams/labs/activities are met

  • Carry out root cause analysis in case of safety and non-compliance's according 8D approach

  • Is familiar with electrical safety and compliance test methodologies and with maintaining files and communicating changes in an evolving regulatory landscape.

  • Review and approve engineering changes and labeling for regulatory compliance. Identify potential regulatory approval risks based on changes in regulations, standards country specific issues or other unique characteristics of the project.

  • Supports risk assessments as needed.

  • Lead projects with significant Safety and Regulatory content

  • Establish relationships with certification, test bodies worldwide (such as Dekra or UL), and coordinate the approbation process via these certification bodies Testing to include Safety, EMC, Radio and environmental.

  • Provide interpretation of international safety and EMC standards and international requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience within a regulated environment, Medical device preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • Is familiar with electrical safety and compliance test methodologies and with maintaining files and communicating changes in an evolving regulatory landscape.

  • Experience leading development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, theories and concepts.

  • Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems that cannot be found by combining previous experiences but by composing newly acquired Quality Assurance knowledge.

  • Works independently and provides consultative advice within specific functional areas.

  • Introduces Quality Assurance methods/procedures that are new for the organization. Applies advanced Quality Assurance process principles to multiple tasks.
