Job Description
Conduct supplier assessments and evaluate supplier in respect of manufacturing, quality, response & other terms to meet the company expectations for future business. Participating in the Technical reviews with different suppliers & selection of the best supplier. Developing the parts as per the Global requirements along with the targets of meeting the Quality as well as Quantity. Assist supplier in developing their part / process to meet Quality requirements by conducting the APQP reviews in the process of development. Understand the manufacturing process, quality system & assembly line requirement of organization to make the optimum use of resources. Reviewing various APQP documents with supplier & taking the concurrences from stake holders. Conducting the PPAP & approving various documents like PFMEA, SPC, and MSA at the appropriate intervals & upload it on the site. Conduct supplier audits & evaluations to verify the suppliers process are documented and in control. Sharing supplier audit results to stake holders, upload the reports on site & ensure the closure of non-conformance by re audits, management focus etc. Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather & analyze the data & implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate non-value waste resulting from non-conformance, scrap or reclaim. Monitoring the supplier performance & put the focus on the major problematic suppliers through various methodizes like product process audit, special Process audit and system audits. Giving technical help to suppliers for the understanding the requirements of the validation, testing, packaging & other product specific requirements. Works in line to achieve Leadership targets of Cost, Quality and Delivery. Drive cost reduction by providing best cost county suppliers and helping organization cost reduction goal. Drive Innovative concepts, Process optimization & VSM across supply chain. Ensure flawless launch for the parts developed. Interface between supplier and global engineering for new product development. Established strong communication channel for team to interact with the global stake holders. Control and monitor development in line with the product launches. Experience and knowledge of the role of Supply Chain & Program Management. Should be Batcheler’s Degree with Experience of 6-8 years working as an SDE / SQE with Electrical or Automotive business. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering / Production 7 to 9 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development & procurement in engineering company preferably in Electrical & Electronics products 3-4 year of hands-on experience on APQP, Supplier Development & problem solving Basic understanding of manufacturing processes Knowledge of quality systems and project management.
