• Collect and analyse failure profiles of parts from the field
• Align requirements from the series product specification and the reconditioning concept of the supplier
and transfer into own remanufacturing concept
• Analyze used parts (cores) in a teardown workshop
• Perform a product risk analysis
• Define product specific take back criteria for cores collection
• Estimate the reuse rate based on core quality
• List the components to be replaced
• Identify products, their part numbers and related supersession chain
• Agree on product validation measures with series development in Germany (RD)
Technical specifications
• Define reference sample catalogue
• Ensure and align sub-component sourcing of the supplier according to specifications
• Define and document product validation measures according to life endurance and quality requirements
• Implement measures from product risk analysis
• Develop conversation matrix
• Create the specification book based on the remanufacturing concept
Reman concept validation
• Verify the engineering samples according to the product validation
• Revise validation results with RD Department & define counter measures if necessary
• Conduct the product engineering release together with Germany HQ
