As a Technician you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and evaluation of current and future products. You will maintain the laboratory equipment, develop and improve lab and vehicle procedures and advise Engineering as to product improvements. Your key deliverables : Preparation of prototypes and test specimens – Vehicle powertrain subsystems - for testing (assembly and disassembly) Conduction of tests and experiments with the internal combustion test stand and other test equipment (force, torque, length, temperature, pressure etc. measurements), following engineers guidance and requirements Set up instrumentation for non-routine and standard tests, start tests and monitor status, use of special instrumentation and software, select test methods Testing: Set up computerized Instrumentation, run tests, work with Engineering to help define test procedures, report test results, present results to Engineering Performing instrument calibration, maintain calibration database, participate in process audits Staying abreast of various test & instrumentation systems (data acq, sensors, etc) Interacting with Valvetrain Product Engineering to accomplish project objectives.
