Your tasks and responsibilities: You will coordinate a numerical simulation project for temperature fields with one of our institutional partners and transfer these simulation results to existing furnace systems. Additionally, you will drive new basic simulation studies with our external project partner With your expertise, you will establish novel processes and transfer new concepts to our CT production environment at an adequate time Your knowledge and background in the field of semiconductors for detector applications compliments our production and development activities as well as those of our international partner You establish methods for material analysis in-house and in cooperation with external partners You control the analyses and initiate structured measures to improve the development and production processes You prepare analysis reports, project reports, and validation documentation. Additionally, you present your results internally and with our external partners You initiate and control development projects to improve material and process quality To find out more about the specific business, have a look at Computed tomography Your qualifications and experience: You have a university degree in the field of materials science, engineering, physics or similar You have several years of experience with the numerical simulation of crystal growth processes You have several years of industrial experience in volume crystal growth of semiconductors You have written the specification for and acquired industrial crystal growth equipment Ideally, you have experience with processing of semiconducting materials, such as sawing, lapping and polishing You have hands-on experience with structural analysis of bulk crystals Ideally, you have experience with X-ray detectors Your attributes and skills: You have proven your communication skills and assertiveness as well as your ability to work in a team on several occasions You are interculturally interested, sensitive, and motivated to work in a multicultural team. Fluency in English completes your personal profile.
