Job Description
Worldwide company is currently seeking an Operations Excellence & Project Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Operations Excellence & Project Manager will be responsible for performing various continuous improvement, manufacturing engineering, and project management functions for the Juarez Frontera facility. Specific functions include participating in the development and implementation of continuous improvement and project management processes, lead a cross-functional team of engineering, communicate project status to all stakeholders and work with stakeholders to remove roadblocks and solve problems that the continuous improvement & project team encounters throughout the facility operations and footprint project. The incumbent will utilize sound continuous improvement & project management principles to drive more effective project execution throughout the organization. In this role, you will: Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of multiple functions and project teams simultaneously Define the project scope, budget and schedule for each phase of the project Implement project milestones of significant complexity per the approved scope, budget and schedule Develop and updates project schedules on a regular basis to track key milestones and identify the critical path to ensure appropriate risk management strategies and communication to stakeholders is followed Maintain project/programs updates, artifacts, metrics, and action items list to support PROLaunch stage gates, project management reviews and integrated project team meetings. Track project performance and provides periodic project status updates (green/yellow/red) of current situation relating to milestones, problems and high-risk areas such as technical, cost and schedule. Manage and coordinate cross functional resources and conflicts to efficiently utilize resources to improve project performance. Organize all resources and oversee completion and quality of all project work Liaison between Engineering Management and other project stakeholders including Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Product Manager Lead the manufacturing engineering team in providing the machinery and equipment to carry out processes and assist in the maintenance program of the machinery including tool and die. Ensure proper support to the production processes to meet the company goals and objectives (SQDCI). Drive efforts to make the Eaton Lean Six Sigma and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) the primary continuous improvement programs to identify, plan, and execute Operational Excellence initiatives. Lead, facilitate and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve process capability, reduce waste and eliminate defects. Achieve measurable improvements by managing multiple Lean / Continuous Improvement projects and working with tool and process owners providing support on the implementation of ELSS and CIF strategies. Champion process changes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, improve quality and improve delivery performance. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience working in a project-based environment Computer knowledge (3D CAD system, Minitab, Project Management software, etc.) Computer proficiency (Office: Word, Excel, Access) Strong analytical skills and business acumen Demonstrate ownership of and ability to manage project assignments with a broad scope and high level of complexly and able to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner. Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools Proven leadership skills – passion and capability to lead in an integrated environment across multiple sites and global locations.
