Eaton’s Corporate Technology Office is currently seeking an Engineering Capability Manager to join our team. The preferred locations for this position are Beachwood, OH, Southfield, MI, Moon Township, PA, or Raleigh, NC, but this position could be based at any Eaton location. Job Summary The Engineering Technical Capability Leader will be responsible for leading Eaton's Engineering Function in the identification, assessment, and development of critical skills. In partnership with the business Engineering Leaders, this individual will create a strategic plan to ensure that the organization has the right skills to deliver business priorities through technical training for all engineers and helping generate enterprise-wide knowledge sharing in overlapping skill areas between each business. Job Responsibilities Create and execute a standard process to conduct an annual skills assessment across Eaton Seek an understanding of current and future skills needed to execute business strategy Compare current skillset to future state needs, and create a roadmap to address the gap Build out comprehensive development plans to upskill internal talent, from early career to experienced engineers Partner with Functional Learning Leaders to create a skill-based curriculum Work with business Engineering Leaders to execute on skill development plans and monitor progress. Work collaboratively across the engineering function to facilitate a fluid flow of talent Think strategically to create an Engineering Learning environment to encourage the continuous flow of knowledge Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $149,600 - $205,700 a year. Eligible for an annual performance-based incentive plan with a target at 24% of base salary. Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Years and area of experience required: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Technical knowledge: Broad engineering acumen. Soft skills: Strategic mindset, collaborative, influential, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
