Job Description
Eaton’s Early Talent Engineering Leadership Development Program is a two-year rotational program designed to expose you to a variety of enriching, diverse and cross functional learning experiences. The program will consist of 4 rotations in the following design engineering areas: new product development (electro-mechanical or electronics), product industrialization, design and drafting services, product line support, project management, data analysis or VAVE (value engineering and value analysis). These experiences will provide you the building blocks necessary to launch you onto an exciting and engaging design engineering leadership career. Participants will complete one initial three-month rotation, followed by three six-month rotations in one of Eaton’s electrical sector division. Job Summary The primary focus for this position is to support engineers, as a trainee, developing or improving products or services, reducing cost, and developing new product technologies. Job Responsibilities This position performs the following activities with engineer or skilled technician guidance: Support engineers in the development and/or improvement of products and/or services. Gain knowledge of products laboratory test equipment functionality and perform tests. Develop basic flowchart, drawings, schematics, markup, 3D/2D layouts using computer aided design tools. Develop and/or improve basic systems using programming languages. Provide support to engineering runs, tests and validations. Develop basic knowledge of products testing, agency standards and field applications. Comply with EHS required training, perform all laboratory activities following EHS requirements. Qualifications Qualifications Student in Engineering related areas such as Design, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, Systems, Software, Industrial, etc; with at least 150 credits approved. 3 months minimum of hands on in Lab or university related area experience. No industrial experience required. Experience with Microsoft office, CAD tool, Programming languages/tools (Java, C, C#, C++, HTML, Python, Etc), EDA tools, database and tests equipment’s knowledge. Vocational school certificates or university labs participation. Oral and written intermediate level for English language is required.
