HK$20,801 to HK$24,611 per month

1. Provide biomedical engineering services support to hospitals and clinics.

2. Support the technical assessment on biomedical equipment.

3. Compile and collate data and manage database information on biomedical equipment.

4. Classify international nomenclature for biomedical equipment for preparation of medical device administrative control system by the Government.

5. Perform related duties as assigned by the Biomedical Engineers.

a) University Graduates with relevant working experience; OR

b) F.5/S.5 with:

(i) HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (Syl. B) and Chinese Language; or

(ii) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:

l Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language; and

l Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects

AND Diploma in Engineering (Biomedical, Health Technology or Medical) or equivalent AND relevant working experience.

1. A degree with major in Engineering (Biomedical, Health Technology or Medical) or equivalent.

2. At least one year’s working experience in biomedical engineering, electronics engineering, instrumentation or radiological equipment.

3. Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

4. Able to work independently and under pressure.

5. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, pleasant and mature.

1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.

2. Subject to satisfactory performance and approved by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the selected candidate may be referred to undertake the Scheme A Training programme approved by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

3. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. The offer of salary for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies.

4. Appointment will be on contract terms for 3 years. 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance.

5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
