MBRDNA is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, with key areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Interaction Design, Digital User Experience, Machine Learning, Customer Research, and Open Innovation. In Redford, Michigan, the focus is on Powertrain and eDrive technology as well as in Long Beach, where the teams test durability of the latest driver assistance and telematics systems. The Digital Hub in Seattle focuses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platform for the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and Regulatory Affairs team in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.



Position Overview:



Support Team Powertrain Calibration (Emission, Drivability, Combustion) in engineering-related topics.
 
Start Date: April 2020, 6+ months duration, 40 hours per week
 
Responsibilities:
- Support the Powertrain Calibration Team (Emission, Drivability, Combustion) with work in various engineering-related topics

- Provide overall support for the Powertrain Calibration Team

- Prepare vehicles for testing ( hardware & software )

- Set up measurement equipment and data recording

- Perform vehicle adaption/on-road testing

- Support emissions-related tests ( chassis dyno/emission lab )

- Analyze results from measurements and emissions tests

- Identify issues during testing and troubleshoot solutions

Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree candidate in Automotive, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, High GPA (3.33 or above)

- Emphasis on development of control functions for gasoline engines is a strong plus

- Hands on mechanical skills are a plus

- German language skills are a plus

- Able to work independently or collaboratively

- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word),and in Matlab

- Ability to learn new tools (INCA,Concerto)

- Valid Driver's License
