Job Description
Position Overview: The Co-op in the design engineering group will work with experienced engineers in support of production and new product development programs. Projects may include assessing mechanical designs and drawings, material selection, tolerance evaluation, 3D modeling, GD&T assessment, and requirements management. In addition to product design, the Co-op will work on test and performance evaluation of Eaton’s products by creating test plans, writing test requests and procedures, analyzing test data, and performing development testing with vibration tables, thermal chambers, and simulated aircraft lubrication systems in the onsite test lab. The Co-op position is cross functional, interfacing with our engineering colleagues in Pune, India, the electrical engineering center of excellence group, and the operations and manufacturing teams in Glenolden. Tasks may also include analyzing problems involving strength of materials, stress analysis, fluid flow, and heat transfer. The position will offer opportunities for career skill building with product software training, customer interaction, project management and leadership, ownership of tasks, and the presentation of project updates and results. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Engineering Technology, or Materials Science. Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please do not round). Must be able to do a minimum five (5) month assignment. Starts 04/04/2023 through to 09/15/2023. Relocation is not being offered for this position, candidate must reside/attend school within 50 miles of Glenolden, PA. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship on an ongoing basis. This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
