Key Responsibilities:
manages engineering department , engineers, technicians, draftsmen
drive, promote and value innovation and creativity in his team
ensures good communication between engineering department and other services within the company and group
meet, if required, the clients in order to define their requirements and evaluate such requirements when possible
transmit pertinent information to those concerned in the planning and cost evaluation
attribute, coordinate technical requirements of the sector and authorize the deliveries of all documentation to the shop floor and other departments
responsible to propose and manage technical development and improvement of the products, including reliability/performances improvements and design to cost programs
conceptualize, conceive, plan, schedule, and direct the design, and perform other product development activities required to develop and maintain products in the industry
as a member and major contributor of the product management committee advises and proposes on further developments and innovations of product line
implements the PMC’s decisions into the product development plan
oversee the quotation, initiation, scheduling, and coordination of developmental activities for engineering projects
assure continuing conformance of products to requirements, including but not limited to customer requirements, test requirements, standards/norms and profitability requirements
research and identify the application, performance and functional requirements for products to assure appropriateness for the intended function in customer acceptable terms
oversees the configuration management of product documentation
monitor norms and standards applicable to his product lines and ensure product conformance to it
ensure that group procedures and tools are used in respect with defined rules
define and maintain (or supervise) the technical criteria of minimum acceptance to record during assembly (PIO)
Key Requirements:
bachelor’s degree in engineering
experience in management
minimum 5 years of engineering design experience, including design methods, engineering materials and associated manufacturing systems
strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
computer skills: cad and MRP system experience, knowledge of Microsoft office
English writing and speaking capabilities
mindset: proactive, and influent
