Your essential responsibilities include: • Defines a structured software solution that meets the technical requirements and interfaces while optimizing performance, security & reusability. • Translates requested business features into technical requirements and acceptance criteria used to direct development team and determine implementation completion • Work directly with stakeholders, engineering and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems. • Develop and execute plans for incremental and interactive project delivery. • Work with test team to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage with defined Software quality metrics. • Management experience in driving highly technical team. • Can debate and propose solutions to situations involving both people and technical complexities. • Develop business plans and proposals. Helps is framing strategies which are inline with current and foreseen business needs. • Handle ambiguity with grace and shields employee from confusion. • Maintains good and healthy employee satisfaction index and guide, coach on career path. Diversity inclusive in nature. • Define Profit Plan with clarity, predictability and keeps the expense in budget. • Handles the "line" management charter for the employees. • Keep leadership well informed on progress and develop RoadMaps, Ownership/Accountability and present plan to work on gaps. • Work in HR on attrition avoidance, timely recommendation on promotion cycles and succession planning. • Regular 1:1 with employee, peers, managers, stakeholders, HR. • Represent the team on global platforms and be a leader from front. • Be part of review, planning and readout meetings. • Evaluate business and technical requirements and identify new solutions. • Work directly with stakeholders, engineering and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required. • Preferred - Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution. • 8 to 10 years of design experience of embedded systems software - RTOS, C, C++, Python, data structures. RTOS - FreeRTOS and Zephyr (preferable) Industrial Ethernet protocols like EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, BACnet IP, 61850 and or device level field bus technologies -Modbus, Device Net, Profibus DP, BACNet, REST is preferred. Good knowledge on Linux (Driver, Kernel) , API based framrworks or SDK. Exposure to Software Monetization techniques with event driven stack development. • Prior experience as organizational leader for a minum of 5 to 10 years in globally distributed teams • Experience leading organizations with at least 5+ members • Experience utilizing best practices in software engineering, Agile development methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, etc. • Track record of demonstrated lauches of products • Proven digitally savvy leader experienced in delivering monetized IoT products and services to market. • Experienced with software estimation techniques, fieldbus protocols for industrial IoT products. • Ability to work within matrixed environments. • Proven track record of technically leading successful development teams. • Expert level working knowledge of open source software, agile methodologies, design thinking techniques and ability to employ open, shared and saleable development principles within an enterprise. • Empathizes and actively learns about customer’s needs and how they create value. • Builds relationships outside of engineering teams to understand, influence, and serve as their advocate. • Demonstrated experience in building organizational capabilities around technology; developments high performing talent and builds succession depth. • Strong organizational leadership skills. • Extensive experience in hiring talented people for diverse, productive development teams. • Ability to manage multiple projects and resolve issues that impact deadlines; ability to make decisions quickly under conflicting constraints, moving rapidly to meet the demands of a fast-growing company. • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers. • Results-oriented and demonstrated record of developing initiatives that impact productivity. • Proactive and solutions-oriented with experience working in ambiguity. • Fosters an environment where employees feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and make decisions. • Leverages data to create new insights and make better decisions. • Problem Solving - uses digital technology and processes to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probes all suitable sources for answers, can see hidden problems, is excellent at unbiased analysis, looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers. • Innovation Leadership - effective in cultivating creative ideas of others, demonstrates good judgment around creative ideas and which suggestions will work, has a sense about managing the creative process of others, can facilitate effective brainstorming, can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace. • Creativity - comes up with many new and unique ideas, easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions, tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings. • Process Management - Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, knows how to organize people and activities, Knows what to measure and how to measure it, Can simplify complex processes, Gets more out of fewer resources • Strategic Agility – sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans. • Drive for results – can be counted on to exceed goals successfully. • Motivating others – creates a climate in which people want to do their best; empowers others; is someone people like working for and with. • Managerial courage – holds transparent and meaningful conversations; provides direct, complete, “actionable”, constructive, and corrective feedback to others. • Business acumen – knows how business work; knowledgeable in current and possible future technologies; knows the competition. • Peer relationships – can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; can represent his/her own interests and yet be fair to other groups. • Interpersonal savvy – relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport. • Action oriented – enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things he/she sees as challenging. • Intellectual horsepower – is intelligent; deal with concepts and complexity comfortably; described as intellectually capable, and agile.
