This exciting role offers opportunity to: This position is responsible for shaping Pumps-Motors Product Engineering portfolio within Aerospace Hydraulics-Actuation at EIIC Pune working closely with Jackson MS USA and Bedhampton UK sites. Primary function of this role is to grow portfolio programs and talent, with specific focus on Product and Project Engineering, through engineering and innovation leadership. In addition, person will be responsible for providing leadership to Cost Out portfolio and drive meaningful utilization of Pump Test Rig with business impact. This also includes building organizational capability and capacity at EIIC for Engine-Driven Pumps, Electric-Motor Pumps, EZDP and complimenting global engineering strategy for the Group. The person will also be responsible for providing leadership to team resources to create concept designs, detailed man-hour estimates and schedule. Another primary function is ensuring the personal development of each team member for year over year capability growth. This includes providing performance feedback to direct reports on the execution of annual goals and functional competency skills. Leader in this position will be responsible to - Provide leadership to team of Aerospace Hydraulics Pumps-Motors product engineers including related CoE members at EIIC; Provide coaching and mentorship on Launch of innovative products design solutions, execution excellence on Sustaining Engineering and realized Cost Out Meet all requirements for FMC Hydraulics products and systems performance, reliability, safety, cost and manufacturability on time through engineering and allied talent management Drive growth in terms of breadth and depth of product and project engineering capabilities as well as adjacent multi-disciplinary technology areas Seek business opportunities through technical proposals and engineering schedules preparation to support commercial responses Provide strategic leadership to guide, coach and develop next level of organizational and technical leaders Select, hire and retain employees under Hydraulics Pumps-Motors portfolio; Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships delivering customer centric solutions Leverage internal and external partnerships such as technical community and academia for continuous advancements of the capability Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class products in line with present and future business needs Participate in the creation of technology road map based on Product/COE Strategy globally and deploy them within the group and build organizational capability Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables Continuously build digital skills, leverage data to create new insights and make quality decisions A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally. The position requires incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and execution of NPI/VAVE/Cost out concepts through direct and indirect leadership Qualifications Requirement – Relevant experience in Aerospace/Allied domain - 12+ years with Master’s degree / 16+ years with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical / System Engineering Experience of working with multinational engineering organizations Technical knowledge Should have demonstrated skills in: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering organization Leading product and technology full life cycle development experience Developing multi generation technology and product development plans Developing positive customer relations, participation in Technology and Innovation events with customers Continuous improvement methodologies, DFX application Drive for results: Can be counted on to exceed performance on goals seamlessly Interpersonal savvy: Relates well with all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport Strategic agility: Demonstrated strategic thinking-sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans Problem solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, Probes all fruitful sources for answers, Can see hidden problems, Is excellent at honest analysis.
