Position Overview The Engineering Manager is responsible for the daily management of the project engineering staff, including assignments to projects, skill development and performance management functions. The Engineering Manager is responsible for implementing guidelines and defining functional specific policies, processes or methods to fulfill the business’ pharmaceutical project engineering strategies. The Engineering Manager will be measured on typical project business KPIs, implementation of technology and process, continuous improvement, employee satisfaction and financial well-being of programs and projects. The position reports to the Solutions Director within the Process Automation & Engineering Business The position is located in Harleysville, PA. (Greater Philadelphia Area) Responsibilities Management responsibilities of up to 15 direct reports Establish and maintain GAMP and GxP compliant project engineering practices, development programs and processes. Works with the Solutions management team to plan and allocate resources and budgets to Engineering projects or activities. Provide pharmaceutical project subject matter expertise to support business development and customer pursuits Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Advanced degree in engineering, management or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Pharmaceutical Knowledge – industry standards (S95, S88), MES, GAMP 5, V Model and validation, qualification processes Industry/Company recognized Project Management Certification Excellent customer interfacing skills Domestic Travel will be required approximately 15% of the time. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience PM@Siemens project management certification DCS and/or MES background in the Pharmaceutical industries, including Siemens based systems (SIMATIC PCS 7, SIMATIC PCS neo or Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma) Fundamental understanding #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
