Job Description

This is an exciting time to be at Intel - come join our Engineering Services Team as an Engineering Technician and work on the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology in the world.

As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses industry-leading SSD technology and the most capable Triple Level Cell (TLC) and Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products.

What you'll be doing, but is not limited to:

  • Support engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment.
  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work.
  • May perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Assignments are semi-routine in nature.
  • Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.
  • This position is focused on operations supporting memory component testing on Windows and Linux platforms.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Communicate effectively with engineering partners and other key stakeholders verbally and in writing -- will work extensively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and creativity in assigning priority to tasks and requests.
  • Support testing in multiple labs and on different equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and can easily navigate the front end of a web application is required.
  • Good customer service and attention to detail when running critical qualification activities or engineering experiments to advance new product development.
  • Available for swing shift coverage and off-hours and weekend support.
  • Motivated self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in lab and production environments and balancing multiple priorities effectively.

The position is associated with the sale of the NAND business to SK Hynix aligning to Phase 2 of the transaction. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel developing NAND technology and components. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025 at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to Solidigm, a stand-alone US subsidiary of SK Hynix headquartered in San Jose, California with offices world-wide. Solidigm is a leading global supplier of NAND flash memory solutions, led by Robert (Rob) B. Crooke as CEO, previously senior vice president and general manager of Intel’s Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group. Qualifications

The requirements listed could be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences, and or school work/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications
HS degree or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with the following equipment: Nextest Magnum testers, -Advantest ATE test platform, HSM V93k testers.
  • Laser marking, SSD testing, and other NAND-related testing functions.


Preferred Qualifications
An associate degree in electronics technology or any other science-related field from an accredited school and 3+ years in the minimum qualifications.

  • Methodologies in the NAND industry.
  • Proficiency and WIP management and priority balancing.
  • PC troubleshooting, computer networking, and electronic components.
