Engineering - Plant Mechanic 1
Perform routine general maintenance and repair functions within approved guidelines and as directed.  Colleague may achieve this level based on the successful completion of accredited courses resulting in a commercial and/or professional certification in HVAC/R. Has knowledge of common and advanced concepts, practice and procedures witin the HVAC/R field.  Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. You perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for routine general maintenance and repair of mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on Laundry Valet equipment pressers, dry cleaning, dryers and washers
  • Assisting other engineers who perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual PMs on all HVAC, Fitness Center and kitchen drains, grease traps, gas/charcoal burners, steam/water solenoids, and other kitchen equipment
  • Monitor building systems via Siemens Insight Building Automation System and assist in performing routine maintenance on the controls for all HVAC equipment
  • Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
  • Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Perform Engineering shift duties as necessary

Your experience and skills include:

  • Relevant building maintenance experience in a hospitality setting is an asset
  • Must be knowlegeable in using computer systems
  • Previous experience with pool and spa operations is an asset
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints (A,S,M,P,E)
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing and electrical systesms
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable

  • possible work around noisy machinery, air compressers, motors and steam lines during daily operation
