Eaton’s Assemblies & Residential Solutions Division is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Hodges, SC facility. This is a Hybrid role. It is expected that the employee is on-site three days a week. The Hodges location is 50 minutes from Greenville, SC, and located right off Hwy 25. The site was purchased and newly renovated in January 2021 for the Eaton Busway product line. The Busway business is growing and prides itself on our focus for continuous improvement. Position Overview: This position is responsible for management of NPI and large VAVE projects for the Busway business in Eaton ARS. The Program Manager manages the project planning, execution, requirements changes, risk mitigation, and issue tracking. This will include the use of the PROLaunch process, Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA's), Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP), SIOP input, and industrialization. In this function you will: Accountability for project scope and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments. Establishes objectives, goals, and provides direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer needs, potential changes in scope and risk assessment. Leads the PROLaunch team during each development phase to ensure Activity Matrix deliverables are defined and achieved. Coordinates required activities and presents project status and performance data at Gate Review events. Ensures standard program management processes are utilized and provides support to the program and project teams by coordinating PM reviews. Prepares & publishes PM metrics and reports to project stakeholders regularly. Works in cross-disciplinary manner with other departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, Customer Support, Suppliers, etc.) to align project activities and facilitate the PROLaunch processes. Coordinates all risks and requirements of the program by planning, controlling, and integrating all projects into the programs. Measures all project elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved. Financial acumen to complete required capital appropriation requests for assigned projects. Tracks actual and estimated final project costs against budget. Develops and manages communication plan as appropriate for each project. Provides regular status updates to internal leadership. Works to understand the project impact to the business and identify the impact of project changes on the portfolio. Completes other duties as assigned. Drives the implementation of company standard tools to improve Program Management performance at the site. Stays current on advances and initiatives in the PM field and serves as a change agent. Evaluates and implements new PM tools to improve quality and efficiency as needed. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution Prior manufacturing or engineering experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Hodges, SC will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Entry level knowledge of Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools. Bachelors or Masters in engineering from an accredited institution 5 years experience in manufacturing, program management, and leadership of project teams Working towards Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) Knowledge of the product design Position Criteria: Proficient communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer. Strong analytical skills and business acumen Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionally Must be capable of working effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global team members.
