Eaton's European Innovation Center has a new opening for a: Engineering Project Lead - Government Grants (R&D) Location: Prague, Roztoky, Czech Republic Job profile: Managing small to medium governmental funded R&D engineering projects. Responsible for meeting the project objectives in terms of schedule, scope and budget. Leading project teams (internal and consortium partners) ,executing reporting for funding agencies (CZ, EU, DE) and driving new technology development (NTI), process improvement (OPEX) and financial performance through all project phases. What will be your mission? Manage project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, quality and governmental grant commitments Communicate and manage expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business. Lead communication with external project partner(s). Manage fullfiling of the grant committments in deliverables, time, costs and reporting. Ensure that an effective change management is realized if needed. Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the project teams Drive potential changes in scope and risk assessment Ensure development quality and adequate support to the project team by coordinating project reviews, preparing and publishing project metrics and reports Coordinate all risks and requirements of the project. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all project activities and deliverables and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved Provide periodic project updates risk areas (e.g. technical, cost, schedule). Provide periodic reporting for governmental funded agencies (close cooperation with EEIC Gov. Grant Manager) Act as overall project interface with internal and external customer Qualifications We would like you to know: University degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or similar technical education Experience as a technical engineer or technical lead Must have demonstrated experience in leading smaller projects Experinces with working with universities and within government granted projects Expected to work with Czech and EU documentation (grant propsals, gov. granted program rules etc.) Advantage to have project management training / certification (PRINCE, PMI, others) Expected to work with Czech and EU documentation (grant propsals, gov. granted program rules etc.) Fluent spoken English and Czech at fluent level Very good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer German language is an advantage What you can expect from us?
