Eaton is seeking an Intern - Engineering Projects to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team for a 4-month intern role. The Engineering Projects Intern will be located in Delta, British Columbia. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will work across the manufacturing plant to assist in various technical projects related to flow, design, and sustainability in order to optimize manufacturing processes. Essential Functions Assist in project to improve the material flow. Participate in Kaizens. Designing/procuring jigs and equipment to aid production. Standardizing process flows. Determine best utilization of equipment, facilities, material flow and personnel. Write, review and revise operation sheets, prepare or direct preparation of time/motion studies. Confer with engineering personnel on design changes. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Enrolled and returning to a college or University program. Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Position Criteria Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects. Good analytical/problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability. Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
