Intel EGI develops next-generation high-performance long-range LIDAR systems for autonomously driving vehicles. The project involves cutting edge electro-optic modules for FMCW LIDAR, HW, VLSI, mechanics, SW FW and Algorithms.

We are looking for an engineering manager who will directly Manage multidisciplinary teams:
1. HW & Motion, Architecture (Syst. Eng.),
- ALGO, SW, SoC
2. Manage and set detailed workplans for all teams.
3. Responsible for the teams weekly deliverables
4. Manage group budget, utilization and planning
5. Lead system architecture decisions
6. Lead problem solving and task forces - to meet execution goals
7. Assist team leaders with solutions, technical decisions and tradeoffs in fields of expertise.
8. Serve as staff member of the business unit and provide weekly updates on progress and plans to BU manager and PMO.
9. Serve as focal point for work alignment with PMO and NPI/OPS, VLSI and Optics groups

Qualifications

Experience and expertise
1. Proven successful record in managing multidisciplinary teams including HW, Motion, system engineering/Integration, Algo, SW and SoC
2. Proven successful record in managing development of complex multi-disciplinary product (preferred: electro-optical) from early design to productization.
3. Strong technical background in either HW, Motion, SE, Algo, SW / SoC
4. Experienced in problem-solving methodologies, risk-management, SW development methodologies, debugging and integration
5. Work in small organization ("startup" mode) with quick reaction/decision times

Qualifications and knowledge
1. B.Sc. in engineering (EE, Mech) / B.A. in science
2. Graduate of management/leadership trainings - preferred
3. At least 20years of experience in industry, at least 5 years in managing teams of 20+ technical personnel in R&D.
