Key Responsibilities

Product and process optimization:

Understand and develop 3-level Inspection and test plans (ITP’s) for all XRF products (component level / sub-assembly level / full functional test & product release level)

Introduce recognized product reliability tools (FMEA / FTA) to achieve improvement in component reliability by understanding the relationship between continuous improvement, quality & reliability based on component level to system level MTBF or MTTF predictions for each product

Collect and review field failure information from our customers, Customer Support or Sales teams, raise product improvement plans as required

Improve & optimize the XRF system performance and reliability through electronic/mechanism re-design / modification suggestions

Lead test evaluation (regression or accelerated - ALT/HALT). Implement most effective test strategies that ensure component, sub-assembly & full functional testing parameters are established & maintained with respect to test equipment, test documentation & training that results in high level confidence to meet or exceed reliability expectations at component and system level

Production Problem solving:

Strong technical background with Systemic analysis point, Solve the assembly and test issues during manufacturing.

Provide the solution for customized product configuration and Advise production line.

Drive through the root cause and corrective actions involving the Suppliers/Manufacturer/Designers

Product projects:

Proactively project manage individual initiatives in product optimization

Ensure each improvement project runs on time

Work with and train suppliers on optimum use of test solutions and faults finding techniques

Fully understand and improve test coverage and equipment reliability resulting in improved confidence levels

Communicate with Finland NPI teams, organize and cooperate the resource to complete projects

Understand and continually improve interconnectivity of components

Engineering change management:

Understand the Engineering Change process and its control

Demonstrate hands-on responsibility to all engineering and process aspects of new engineering change from design into readiness for manufacturing.

Manage obsolescence material and provide a solution for alternative parts.

Education / Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
• At least 5+ experience in manufacturing of Instrument Industry

Professional Skills/ Abilities:

• Have stronger hands-on experience and strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Understand XRF product applied field. Understand the product specifications and drawings, ensuring conformance to customer's requirements.
• Maintain an understanding of the concepts, techniques and requirements of electronics/mechanism design by keeping up with trends of best practice.
• Have a thorough knowledge of engineering concepts related to design for manufacture, assembly and test, pre-production, industrial and systems engineering, quality, and readiness for volume manufacturing.
• Use agreed design and manufacturing methodologies, process and tools to ensure robust and fully documented sub-assemblies, modules and products are developed. Thereby facilitating outsourcing of manufacture, further development and maintenance.

· Have a thorough XRF knowledge in product manufacturing process, field application and customer's expectation. · Effectively analyze the gap between production with CS, sales, and advise the solution.
