Job Description
Eaton’s Vehicle Group Division is currently seeking an Engineering Tech – Night Shift to join our Clutch Assembly team. This position is based at our Kings Mountain, NC facility. Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to assist engineers in the implementation of a variety of manufacturing projects and support operations in troubleshooting machine problems impacting production. This includes activities such as assisting or leading projects, troubleshooting machine or quality issues, and continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives. In this function you will: Monitor, improve, maintain and troubleshoot processes, including: Assisting operators with troubleshooting gear quality issues Assisting maintenance in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns CNC Programming (lathes, hobs, shapers, shavers, etc.) Create and revise Process Sheets and Control Plans. Active member of a cross functional Flow Line team to meet departmental goals and objectives. Participate in capital planning, implement equipment, completing documentation, and completing machine runoffs. Able to flex to different shift as needed to support operations. Minimum 2 years CNC experience. Minimum 2 years gear manufacturing experience. Preferred Qualifications: Broad manufacturing knowledge including lean principles. Demonstrated leadership skills. Efficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Oracle. Knowledge of lean tools, blueprint interpretation skills, and gauging experience. Demonstrated knowledge of gear manufacturing processes including turning, shaping, hobbing, shaving, milling, and threaded-wheel grinding. Experience with Fanuc robots. Associate degree from an accredited institution. Criteria for job selection will be based on skill and ability.
