Job Description

This position is geared towards veterans exiting the military, and students close to finishing their associates degree from our local community colleges. The position includes entry-level assignments associated with High-Value Inventory and component level debug. The program lasts 2-3 years, and allows for the individual to explore 3 potential employment avenues at Intel while attending school part-time. On a daily basis, the employee will communicate with engineers debugging silicon, aid in pattern debug, triage hardware failures, run high volumes of silicon on handlers, and help train the next generation of technicians. Debug on electromechanical systems validation, modifications, and experimentation within the lab environment are common. Majority of the work involves assisting engineers remotely debugging silicon. A high degree of judgement and self-motivation is required to resolve non-standard issues when encountered This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

Candidates must have a High School/Equivalent and 4+ years experience. OR AA/AS in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering Technologies or similar. OR Military experience. Must be able to lift 25 lbs multiple times per day. Must be capable of 10,000 steps per day. This is an Essential Worker role and the candidate must be able to work on site in a full time capacity. Willing to work on compressed shift i.e. 12.5 hours, day or night, 3-4 days / week. Understanding of windows operating system, and Microsoft office suite. Experience with hand tools, and basic mechanical debug. A rudimentary understanding of electricity, and electronic debug Preferred Qualifications: Exit from the military, 0-6 months, with AIT training in a technical MOS. Experience in circuit analysis, component level debug, basic mechanical systems. Scripting experience in python/ VBA. Object-oriented programming a plus. IT experience. Willing to fully assemble a computer plus knowledge of all components. Experience writing specs and documentation. Associates Degree, AAS, or Bachelor of Science in STEM.
