We are Intel's Post Silicon Xeon Server Functional Validation Engineering Team! As an Engineer Technician within the Fort Collins Validation Lab you will participate in maintaining XEON Servers in the lab, and apply your expertise in a fast paced technically driven environment.
This position is to work onsite in the lab at Intel Fort Collins. You will be collaborating with Engineering Teams on cutting edge XEON server product development, validation, debug/troubleshooting, and maintaining system configurations and health.
Software Qualifications
Python scripting; run tests and debug components from command line interfaces
Experienced in installation (automated and command line process), troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues in a Windows and Linux OS environment
Firmware and driver management and updates
Network administration and troubleshooting
File versioning software - Git
Access software - VNC, PuTTY, SSH
Experience in computer software (Microsoft Office Suite and data base entry)
Hardware Qualifications
Server/Computer architecture, semiconductors, CPU, Motherboard, interfaces such as: Ethernet, USB, PCIe, Memory
Maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of Servers, PCs, test equipment, associated hardware and peripherals in a test lab environment
Hands-on Server, PC, electronics equipment repair, including lifting up to 30 lbs and performing work on a ladder.
Setup and operation of industry standard test and measurement equipment for debug and data collection.
Assembly and/or setup of fixtures such as test benches and liquid cooled thermal tools
Run system health check tests from a pre-defined test plan
Bring up, monitor, maintain Windows and Linux servers
Understanding and setup of test equipment KVM, Logic Analyzer, oscilloscope.
Assemble electrical systems or prototypes, using hand tools or measuring instruments.
Perform functional validation testing according to engineering instructions.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a High School/ Equivalent with 10+ years of experience -OR- an AA/AS with 6+ years of experience -OR- a Bachelor’s degree in Science with 4+ years of experience in:
Python scripting; run tests and debug components from command line interfaces
Setup, installation, troubleshooting and administration in Windows and Linux environments
Server/Computer architecture, semiconductors, CPU, Motherboard, interfaces such as: Ethernet, USB, PCIe, Memory
Replacing Server hardware, CPUs, motherboards, hard drives, and other electronics
Functional validation testing
System Monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
Fine pitch Soldering/Detailed Rework experience a plus
Automation / Execution Experience a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$68,000.00-$101,940.00 (Hourly Role)
