The Schwarzman Scholars program is designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century and beyond. The endowment supports up to 200 scholars annually from the U.S., China and around the world for a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs program at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Scholars chosen for this highly selective program will live in Beijing for one year of study and cultural immersion, attending lectures, traveling and developing a better understanding of China. Major Accountabilities岗位职责

• Teach small, discussion-style classes to scholars of mixed English proficiencies (advanced to near-native) · 有小班讨论式课程教学经验，同时有教授英语水平多元化学生（高级英语水平至接近母语水平）的相关经验；
• Track the progress of individual students and provide regular, individualized feedback on their learning progress · 根据每个学生的学习进度，定期提供有关学生学习进度的个性化反馈和建议；
• Design course materials and evaluate teaching resources as needed · 设计课程学习资料，并根据要求评估教学资源；
• Work with the Language team to continue refining the curriculum and standards · 与语言教学部门合作，完善课程设计与评分标准；
• Maintain regular Writing Center office hours to give students writing feedback · 开设英语写作中心，并定期运行办公时间，为学生提供英文写作方面的反馈；
• Work alongside the Academic and Student Life teams to design and host workshops covering common English and writing-related topics · 与学术部和学生生活部合作，设计和主持关于英文教学和写作相关的研讨会；
• Participate in other Student Life activities throughout the year (e.g., Orientation, Deep Dive) .积极参加学生生活部的其他活动（例如开学迎新，中国社会实践考察等）。
  

• Master’s degree in TESOL/TEFL, English, Journalism, a social science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree with extensive related experience will also be considered). 拥有TESOL / TEFL，英语，新闻学，社会学或相关领域的硕士学位（如果具有丰富相关经验，学士学位也可被考虑）
• Minimum 2 years’ full time work experience teaching English as an additional language including academic English and/or adult professional English · 至少2年的全职英语教学经验，包含学术英语教学和成人职业英语教学；
• Native English fluency · 英文为母语流利程度；
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written · 拥有良好的口头和书面沟通能力；
• Demonstrated ability to work with students of varying English proficiencies, especially near-native speakers · 具备面向不同英语水平能力，尤其是近似母语英文能力的学生的教学能力；
• Demonstrated sensitivity to students’ needs and cultural differences · 具备和来自不同背景和文化的学生的交流能力和敏感度；
• Experience designing and writing lesson plans · 有设计和编写课程计划的相关经验；
• Experience collaborating across disciplines/departments. 有跨学科/部门合作的相关经验。

Preferred 优先考虑条件

• Certificate in teaching English as a second language with significant experience · 持英语外语教学证书（TESOL）并具有丰富教学经验;
• Two or more years teaching in a university setting · 在大学有两年或以上的EFL / ESL教学经验；
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with Chinese speakers · 具有在汉语环境中相关的工作经验；
• Have direct knowledge of Chinese academic and/or business culture · 具有中国学术和/或商业文化的相关知识;
• Have direct knowledge of American academic and/or business culture · 具有美国学术和/或商业文化的相关知识；
• Experience innovating in the education space · 有能力为工作带来创新的教学方法;
• Beginner-level Chinese or above. 有初级或者以上中文能力。
