Job Description
【Eligibility】
Candidates must meet local employment rules and nationality(USA, UK, CAN, AUS and SA) eligibility requirements for work visa sponsorship.
【Essential Skills】
Excellent interpersonal awareness and cross-cultural communication skills; proven ability to engage undergraduate learners and collaborate in interdisciplinary teaching teams. Strong academic writing support and targeted academic/professional guidance, with meticulous multitasking in teaching, marking and academic project management.
【Preferred Qualifications】
Professional background or certifications in ICT, Engineering, Marketing or Business, with relevant industry or teaching experience, enabling co-teaching of international collaborative courses with overseas partner teams.
【Program & Role Overview】
This two-stage undergraduate language program covers core academic English in Year 1 and occupational/professional English in Year 2, including employability training, workplace leadership, cross-cultural competence, entrepreneurial thinking and applied project practice. The instructor will also contribute to key teaching projects aligned with the college’s strategic priorities.
【Key Responsibilities】
1.Teach English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Occupational Purposes (EOP) courses.
2.Complete scheduled face-to-face teaching; use remaining work time for lesson preparation, student consultation and academic activities.
3.Participate in curriculum design, student assessment and continuous programme improvement.
4.Coach students for public speaking, debate, employability and other skills competitions.
5.Participate in departmental teaching events and extracurricular activities to support student development.
【Requirements】
1.Degree: Master’s or PhD in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language, Education, Business, Communication Studies or a related discipline.
2.Certificate: Valid TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certificate with at least 120 training hours.
3.Experience: At least 2 years of formal teaching at university or adult higher education level.
4.Academic Portfolio: Verifiable research outputs or publications.
