GENERAL SUMMARY:

The English Trainer is expected to help with learning needs analysis, and course design, as well as delivery and evaluation for the in-house English program. As Bleum has an English only policy, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will promote English language culture as a role model, and contribute their own ideas to promote this special feature of our company culture.

This role is part of Bleum’s training function, and as such the successful candidate will be expected to develop their knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, training practices, and working with the business in a consulting type role.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, develop and deliver in-house English language, cultural awareness, and business communication courses. 15-20 hours a week.

- Provide coaching to staff to guide their English improvement.

- Conduct English language assessments.

- Attend English Salon events to support staff in their learning

- Identify useful words and phrases to be posted on the Intranet on a regular basis

- Consult with stakeholders within the business to identify English/communication skills learning needs, and develop customized learning solutions.

- Work with the training team and HR to support the business as a partner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree or above

- Experience of teaching business English to adults, certified TEFL

- At least two years’ experience as an English teacher to intermediate/advanced adult learners

- Great interpersonal skills and a good team player

- Knowledge of software industry is a plus
