Role Description
The role of the English Programme Executive is to oversee and provide support and guidance to Programme Managers and English Tutors, as well as to partner schools across Hong Kong. This occurs whilst also being responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of our English language learning programmes.
As a non-profit organisation, our team takes on additional roles to help support the organisation, and these can be discussed with applicants shortlisted for interview based on their interests, skills and areas for personal development.
Main Duties
- Develop and evaluate curriculum design and learning materials
- Provide orientation training and on-going structured professional development for our Tutors and Programme Managers
- Collaborate and communicate with external bodies to develop and manage Tutors and language learning projects
- Provide mentoring, guidance and appraisals to Tutors and Programme Managers to support their personal and professional development
- Organise and manage the delivery of educational programmes within the local community
- Participate and contribute to both operational and strategic planning
- Provide reports as required to the Chatteris CEO and other stakeholders
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- A TEFL/TESL qualification at certificate level or higher, or equivalent
- A minimum of four years’ experience in teaching English at primary, secondary and/or tertiary level
- Preferably a native speaker of English or have a high level of English competence
- Demonstrated competence in project and people management, coaching and team building skills
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of online learning
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- An understanding of how to evaluate ESL classes and deliver useful feedback to teachers on their classroom practices
