About us:

We are a small tutoring center located in Beijing that helps children improve their English reading and writing skills. Our students are taught in one-on-one or small group classes ranging from 2-4 students using an extremely effective pre-set curriculum specifically designed for teaching small groups of children. The ages of our students range from 4 - 15 years old, many of whom already have some proficiency in the oral component of the English language. Position Description:

1.35 total hours/week, which includes only 25 teaching hours. One day off per week. Classes are held during evenings on weekdays and all day throughout the weekend
2.Teachers will be using our curriculum, but will be creating their own lesson plans to cater to students of varying skill levels
3.Teachers will be tracking student progress and communicating with parents and leadership staff about students’ academic progress
4.Major events will be held throughout the year that all teachers will collectively plan and present (e.g. plays)

Requirements:

1.Native speaker from Canada, US, UK, Australia, or NZ (non-native speakers with proficient oral and written literacy are also welcome to apply)
2.24 years or older
3.Relevant university degree from an accredited university
4.Possess at least 2 years of relevant work experience since graduating
5.TEFL or TESOL certified
6.Capable of explaining the semantics behind reading and writing
7.Willing to commit to a 1 year contract, renewable
8.Criminal background check
9.Experience working with teaching children preferred
10.Energetic, positive personality who is passionate about teaching.
