Convergent is helping its Chinese clients (mainly language institutes) to hire English speaking teachers who are willing to work at least one year in China. The employers devote themselves to delivering quality English language learning in reading, writing, listening and speaking for Chinese students. Ideal applicants should be able to teach language as well as other subjects, such as Math, Social Studies and Science, in English. Every foreign teacher is assigned a Chinese speaking liaison to assist in the classroom.

Teachers' Responsibilities include:

- Planning lessons from a well set out curriculum

- Marking and grading homework and quizzes

- Assisting with parent communication by providing comments on students' performance

Qualification & Qualities We Look For:

- Associate Degree and above; Bachelor's degree in Arts is preferred

- TEFL or TESOL certificate OR 2 years of relevant teaching experience with previous employer's reference letter

- Clean criminal record check

- Fluency in oral and written English

- Willing to sign a one-year contract

- Energetic, friendly and hard-working

- Familiar with basic computer soft ware, such as Word and PowerPoint
