Job Description
The teaching trainee program aims to help candidates who lacks experience in ESL teaching to build their foundations in an educational career. Please be noted that this position is only open for candidates under age 30.
As a trainee, you will start as an TA to learn about class management. And then, substitute teaching opportunities will be given for you to practice and develop your own teaching style. In approximately 1-3 months, you will start to hold your own class and keep optimizing your teaching skills. Throughout the process, you will also get to know the Chinese families, how the students develop their career, and the mainstream teaching materials and techniques in Shanghai as well.
Benefits:
1. Monthly salary 10k-15k CNY before tax.
2. Additional housing allowance if you choose to live near the workspace.
3. Performance-based bonus, paid annually. The benchmark is one-month salary.
4. Paid holidays of 5 days per year, addition to the national statutory holidays.
Responsibility:
1. Start as a teaching assistant. Learn about teaching materials and practice class management skills.
2. Hold English classes for 3~15 year-old children. Practice teaching skills and do class preparation in an effective way. Fit in with the teaching management system.
3. Monitor the growth of the students’ skills and keep them challenging higher level. Assist to manage the learning process of students and enhance the interaction with their parents.
4. You may develop your personalized teaching styles, under the teaching framework of the school.
5. Participate in managerial projects such as product development, operational optimization and people management.
Requirements:
1. Native English speaker only.
2. No teaching experience is required, but professional attitude is a must.
3. Fulfill the training program of 1 year. A portion of your incentives will be deferred to the end of each semester.
4. Bachelor’s degree is needed for work visa application.
5. No criminal record.
