Position Overview:

The English Tutor Development Manager is a position within the Online Tutoring Business Unit at ALO7. The main duties include but not limited to evaluating tutor performance, providing constructive feedback to tutors and design professional production tracks for all tutors. The Manager should be able to manage team execution toward high-quality results and evolve team vision and direction. The manger will also collaborate with other departments to ensure a top quality ALO7 experience for tutors, students, parents and partner schools.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and work to improve tutoring quality in the form of mentoring and training

Gather, reflect, and analyze data (parent feedback, internal feedback or tutor feedback) to make the best decisions regarding tutor production

Assess the quality of current professional production and oversee the design of new materials that communicate best practices in education.

Support tutors in growing pedagogical skill through frequent practice of discrete skills, watching models of excellence, and facilitating peer learning circles

Ensure tutors know what students need to learn in order to reach their end goals, and have the appropriate resources and support to achieve those goals

Work with the senior tutors (remotely) to mentor and coach new tutors in the areas of teaching

Stay up to date on current classroom implementation strategies

Keep tutors motivated and proud been part of ALO7 tutoring team
