Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
o in Education/Foreign Language/English/Related humanity or professional experience with teaching English-as-a-second-language
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Education credentials strengthen an application
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application
- 2 years teaching experience
- Ability to teach English-as-a-second-language at the high school level and ability to teach freshmen level college writing (i.e. research papers), TOEFL and/or IELTS courses
- Willingness to teach at a professional level, this is not casual teaching of oral English, you will be teaching listening, speaking, reading and writing and preparing students to write research papers at university. It is a much more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & grading¡ªmany teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
- Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
- Ability to teach additional subjects (listed above) is a strong asset
