Job Description

Overview

TES French Section is recruiting a part-time EAL teacher for the school year 2019-2020. The position involves approximately 15 hours of teaching a week, with the possibility of supply teaching work also being available.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching small groups of children who are new to learning English at all levels of primary school (from 3 to 11 years of age). The position involves teaching English to complete beginners in intensive classes and also assisting EAL students during their regular English class time. The EAL teacher will be expected to work closely with French Section EAL and class teachers.

Qualifications

A teaching qualification or degree in languages is required (CELTA/ EFL/ FLESCO, PGCE or equivalent).
A good grasp of the French language will be considered an advantage for native English-speaking candidates.
French speakers will be considered for the position provided they have excellent English skills.
