Primary Job Function Facilitates the advancement of an enterprise strategy and architecture for AbbVie’s High Performance Computing capabilities, including alignment of network, compute, storage and containerization strategies. The role provides enterprise architecture leadership for AbbVie’s High Performance Computing strategy, ensuring alignment with Business Technology partners, key business stakeholders and major industry partners. They will participate in the development and guide the delivery of comprehensive technology solutions that address prioritized business problems and innovation needs. The role will drive execution with infrastructure peer organizations for new technology solutions necessary to deliver public and private cloud High Performance Computing capabilities. Core Job Responsibilities Demonstrate high performance compute thought leadership to inform compute, storage, containerization, and network architectures and represent Infrastructure, Architecture, and Innovation (IAI) to local and global Business Technology Organization (BTO) stakeholders and business leadership Partner with Information Research (IR) Scientific Computing, Commercial, and Manufacturing Operations teams on the planning, creation, and execution of AbbVie’s High Performance Computing roadmap. Partner with IAI teams to contribute to the development and execution and on-going operational delivery of compute, network, & storage technology roadmaps to advance key business functions. In partnership with the Vendor Management Organization (VMO) and in alignment with ARB/AbbVie Architecture roadmaps, build a competitive technology supplier landscape to maintain continuous and reliable delivery of AbbVie’s next generation technology pipeline in support of key business functions. Drive and influence partner HPC solution and strategy development by collaborating with supplier technical teams to develop and new compute, network, containerization, & storage proof of concepts and reference architectures that support solution architecture within BTOs. Keep abreast and advise the Abbvie technology community on emerging trends in HPC and heterogenous / non-traditional compute and related fields. Responsible for IAI compliance with applicable corporate, divisional, local policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline. Master’s Degree preferred At least 10 years of experience in a variety of IT roles including technical, business systems, and data management. Proficiency in HPC, network, storage, and containerization technologies, solutions and/or applications in Life Sciences including genomics, transcriptomics, in support of activities like digital pathology and measurement of xenografts and genealogies. Knowledge of bioinformatics, cheminformatics or other tehnical/scientific compute workflows, applications, and data management to support benchmarks and implementations.
