The enterprise dataset management and data catalog capability product owner will be part of the recently established enterprise data and analytics architecture and governance organization (aka Corporate Data Office). This organization has a significant cross-Intel impact and focuses on providing a data advantage to Intel from data strategy and governance to execution and improving business outcomes.
This position needs strong data architecture/modelling and governance driven data catalog, metadata, and data lineage capability enablement and product owner mindset and needs to be recognized as a trustworthy advisor in their domain expertise and responsibility by senior technologists and principal engineers across multiple organizations, top group management level, and respected by peers in both business and IT.
The position has a solid player-captain role i.e., significant individual contribution scope, as well as requires management of a small team of high-performing data practitioners.
Responsibilities:
Own, drive, and be responsible for strengthening and improving the enterprise data search capability, product management, strategy, service charter, KPIs, stakeholder engagement, and program execution.
Deliver best-in-class user experience in our Intel data storefront capability (aka Analytics MarketPlace) with curated data that is fresh, reliable, and accessible to Intel's data producers and consumers.
Lead the enterprise data working group meetings and effectively partner with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders and ensure data catalog use cases are captured, prioritized, and appropriately actioned according to the metadata management policy and procedures.
Advance, develop and/or promote disciplined and proactive metadata management approaches and tool adoption that ensure improvement in data governance framework adoption and quicker time to value with measurable KPIs.
Provide thought leadership and collaborate with domain data stewards and data architects to ensure creation, validation, and maintenance of data taxonomy, ontology, and business metadata/glossaries.
Partner with rest of the data governance enabling teams responsible for data quality, master data, analytic delivery, data architecture, platform engineering, and data literacy to ensure a holistic operating model.
Communicate technical solutions to business partners in a meaningful way and pro-actively resolve any escalations or issues raised in respect to the operational delivery.
Perform continuous improvement in the product features and conduct comprehensive cost/benefit, fit gap, and pro/con analysis as needed to ensure innovation and lean-end-state data landscape at Intel.
Follow, role-model, and mentor mature software development lifecycle associated with agile methodology - such as requirements gathering and assessment, backlog management and prioritization, software build, validation, test, path to production, quality, and support.
Mentor and educate more junior data and analytics team members.
Help with planning data search product team resources, performance reviews, and contributing to and complying with the organization's budgetary decisions.
Self-starter with strong business acumen who understands organizational issues and challenges.
Entrepreneurial multi-tasker who can be highly efficient with ambiguity and complexity and enjoys being able to navigate changing direction of projects and strategies.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical BS in Computer Science/Engineering, or Technical MBA or MS Computer Science/Engineering, with focus on data and analytics preferred.
Proven 9+ years of experience in data and analytics, with focus on data catalog, metadata management and service capability operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in planning, establishing, and operationalizing data search as a capability for the enterprise.
Expert competency in implementing and advancing one or more industry leading data catalog solutions from vendors such as Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft and/or others.
Familiar with FAIR data principles for metadata management and governance with experience promoting data findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability.
Excellent knowledge of additional data governance solutions such as data quality, master data, data integration, enterprise data fabric, etc.
Experience with Scrum Agile/SAFE methodologies, JIRA, and practices including Minimum Viable Product.
Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$121,260.00-$193,880.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
