The Enterprise SAP Solution Architect – Order to Cash will be responsible for the overall solution design of the enterprise SAP template for the Global Order to Cash process area. This role will lead the collaboration and engagement with the IS and business process teams in delivering best practice solutions based on business & industry practices and drive the SAP solution roadmap within Amgen.

The Enterprise SAP Solution Architect Lead – Order to Cash will assume leadership and global template responsibilities across the complete SAP landscape and provide SME leadership to critical initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Defines and handles the Order to Cash global template and ensures its continued governance and evolution
• Establishes and leads the maintenance of the Global ERP Order to Cash solution documentation
• Collaborate with business partners and product teams to convert functional requirements and business outcomes into scalable, efficient and supportable technology solutions, with an emphasis on hybrid ERP, connected cloud applications and data fabric architectures
• Provide detailed technical specifications and guidance to engineers, developers and other product team members
• Design business solutions using Amgen’s “City Planning” technology ecosystem, including SAP, Salesforce, AWS, Mulesoft, among others.
• Create roadmaps for product teams for continual technology enhancements and retirement of technical debt.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for complex production incidents, as needed
• Effectively communicate with senior leadership and peers, including strong writing skills to draft and publish documentation, SOP, architectural specifications, and business cases
• Domestic travel up to 10% may be required in future

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP configuration and functional experience in the core end-to-end Order to Cash process with a focus on Materials Management, Order Processing and Returns, and Jurisdictional Control
• Good understanding of SAP Integration, Fiori UX, EDI, Workflow and ABAP programming, including S/4HANA capabilities and Cloud Integration
• 2+ years of experience working with software systems validation, SOX, Information Privacy, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong knowledge in the following areas:
• SAP SD and LE module
• Billing
• SD Pricing (complex pricing procedures) and output routines
• Contract Management solutions
• Customer Master Data
• EDI messages relevant to OTC
• Strong Service Delivery approach with demonstrated Commercial and Clinical Order to Cash functional domain experience
• Strong leadership/consultative, collaboration, and process improvement skills to facilitate alignment across multiple global geographies
• Ability to demonstrate his/her experience in delivering and supporting global information systems in a regulated environment for a diverse and distributed user base while relying on a number of Enterprise shared services
• Ability to build internal and external relations and operating across functional boundaries
• Ability to translate strategic opportunities and emerging technology solutions into tangible and practical plans that can be performed
• Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change
• Experience with leading solution architecture, template design and project planning efforts for complex, global SAP deployments
• Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other delivery teams and business partners
• Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that align with defined architectural principles and standards and that enhance the business process
• Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to understand business strategy and needs and support the translation into application requirements
• Ability to create compelling business cases balancing business benefits and costs
• Solid understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
• Solid understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience
