In this position you will be part of Scrum team developing, tuning and supporting the Information Search corporate solution for Intel, this system will be crawling different data sources at Intel to allow all Intel employees to get access to information in a more efficient way.
Your duties will be but not limited to:

- Develop the UI (Web based) using App Studio technologies.

- Configure, optimize and maintain the search engine (Fusion Lucidworks) by implementing different relevancy tuning capabilities like stop words, synonyms.

- Phrase detection, Key words, business rules among others.

- Work with the team following DevOps practices to improve our continues delivery and deployment pipeline.

- Work with business to crawl and Index new data sources to enrich end user content.

- Define and develop key search process improvement metrics like MRR, CTR, Zero Results among others.

- Support daily operations of the system and service management like incident, problem and knowledge management.

- Integrate the solution with other chatbots within Intel.

- Work in Search team on problems of search relevance/ranking, search personalization, spell correction, entity recognition and integration of voice inputs.

- Collaborate with other teams across the organization and be part of enterprise search projects.

- Work on meaningful initiatives to help users find the right information and deliver innovations around same.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum
- 1+ years of proven working experience as an Enterprise Search developer using Fusion Lucidworks search platform and App Studio.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience of at least 2 years.
- 1+ Years experience indexing and developing connectors using Python.
- Advance English level.

Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience developing search solutions using search platforms (e.g. Elastic, Solr, Lucene).
- Experience with evaluating existing search architectures and identifying optimizations in terms of indexing, search and query performance tuning.
- Experience building search solutions leveraging different data stores (SQL, Web, Jive, Service Now, etc.) and open source technologies.
- Knowledge in Java technologies.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
