Hiring Now! Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator – 3rd shift to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN location. Usage of a forklift could be using depending on quantity and size of part. Make corrective actions to those parts to minimize loading and paint errors as the go to shipping. Will also perform de-burring and de-greasing to these parts as far as operation procedures go. In this function you will: Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton’s Quality standards and systems Be responsible for all safety policies and procedures, and wearing proper PPE Retrieve parts from storage locations, using a forklift as necessary. Hang parts in the proper configuration Set up hook arrangements, packing equipment and other items as required. Verify counts and Kanban cards to assure accuracy. Perform de-burring and de-greasing operations. Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5s in the area Visually check parts for quality issues. Assure that hooks are properly stored when not in use. Work with various groups of employees in a team-based environment, cross train on load and unload. Train new employees. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor Work overtime as necessary. Maintain guarding and safety equipment in good working order. Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency, based on training received. Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly and be able to safely team lift items exceeding that weight. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, TN will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working on a Paint Line Position Criteria: Must not be on a written or final written warning Must be able to obtain a forklift license Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly and be able to safely team lift items exceeding that weight Must be able to stand/walk for a working shift Wear all Personal Protective Equipment and observe all hygiene requirements as specified and directed Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain the 5S+ check sheets. Work overtime as necessary. Know and follow established job specific and site wide health and safety procedures and rules in accordance with the Eaton MESH Program. Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those where possible. Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities: Risk Assessment and safe working procedures; identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions; accident, near-miss accident or potential hazard investigations. Keep other employees informed of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety whenever possible. Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency, based on training received.
