Eaton’s Power Components division is currently seeking an Entry Level Production Operator (3rd Shift) to join our team. This position is based at our Horseheads, NY facility. Pay Rate: $21.35/hour Shift Hours: 11pm-7am (Schedule: Sunday-Thursday) Training: Candidates must be available to train on 1st shift (7am-3pm) for roughly 6-8 weeks Position Overview: The Production Operator’s primary function is to perform a variety of processing, assembly, inspection, cleaning, rework, minor set ups and various support duties as associated with the manufacturing, testing and shipment of vacuum interrupters. In this function you will: Use a variety of basic acids, solvents, plating and coating solutions, chemicals, metals, component parts and other materials used in the production of vacuum interrupters. Set up and operate equipment required to perform a variety of in-line, final or special electrical tests to inspect, classify or identify that product meets required specifications. Record and/or enter data using logbooks, printers, CRT options, etc. to supply data labels is required. Maintain company records and communicate necessary information to appropriate personnel as required. Operate product-making equipment to supply assembled or sub-assembled product, making necessary inspection checks to ensure conformance to quality standards. Measure and combine acids, bases, plating material and cleaning solutions. Apply to parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform required housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Follow established plant safety rules. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have a High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must have a Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing or related industry Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered with this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the Horseheads, NY facility will be considered.
