Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision this position supports the Lead Environmental Engineer by ensuring that daily operations are performed according to the facilities' legal and other compliance obligations. These responsibilities may be carried out through regular inspection processes or continuous improvement cycles.

Essential Functions:
Conduct regular inspection processes to assess adherence to "Best Management Practice" plans according to compliance requirements for stormwater runoff, wastewater discharge, construction activities, and spill prevention, and follow up on corrective action as necessary.
Monitor emission units and HAP-emitting processes to determine that control measures are properly operated, maintained, and recorded to achieve applicable requirements under the Clean Air Act.
Check that shop floor environmental standards are being implemented according to the processes of the Environmental Management System, and follow up on corrective action as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, waste separation at the source, controlled storage and use of bulk chemicals, and Team Member training completion.
Perform audits within the framewok of the Integrated Management System to satisfy the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
Collect qualitative and quantitative data to support prepartion of environmental compliance reports.
Support continuous improvement in a decentralized Environmental Management System by assisting crossfunctional teams from various areas of plant operations in taking ownership of the impacts in their microevironment
Implement measures identified to meet Daimler Green Production targets for Sustainability.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
