We are looking for a Facility Service (Process Safety) Engineer to join our Advanced Optics Team. Working on Microsoft HoloLens you will be part of an organization which consists of professionals from the fields of optics, mechanical engineering, micro- and nanofabrication, and process technology. 

 

In this role you will focus on developing and maintaining safety management systems for the whole Advanced Optics Team in Espoo. You will collaborate within the team to ensure effective safety and environment friendly practices, to develop core documentation, and to identify and assess risks at working places. You have excellent understanding of chemical and laser safety, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, capability and strength to react quickly. With your strong support attitude, you will heavily contribute into a safe work environment to enable the whole team success.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop safety management system
  • Maintain, review and develop core documentation
  • Identify and assess hazards and risks at working place
  • Coordinate external consultant’s services
  • Maintain, develop and conduct safety training at working place
  • Be the site contact for any EHS related questions
  • Support audit activities if needed
  • Promoting a safe culture at work

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in relevant subject such as Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering
  • Work experience as process / product / safety engineer (2+ years)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in Finland
  • Good understanding chemical safety and laser safety
  • Understanding of physical hazards, ergonomical and psychosocial risks is beneficial
  • Understanding of microfabrication processes
  • Self-motivated to take personal ownership and deliver results while working in a highly challenging environment
  • Hands on attitude
  • Growth mindset
  • Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English (written and verbal)
