Eaton’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division has an opening for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. The position is located at the Glenolden, PA Facility. Relocation assistance is provided. Eaton’s Glenolden, PA facility is located just 15 miles southwest of Philadelphia and has approximately 145 employees (and growing). This World Class Manufacturing facility is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of electronic debris monitoring devices for the military and commercial aerospace industry. Position Overview: The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager ensures plant-level EHS programs, policies, procedures, and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation EHS mandates. The EHS Manager directs EHS activities at the specified site, establishes EHS objectives and targets, interfaces with public and governmental authorities and directs actions during crisis site security and emergency response. Further, the role will assure accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics, maintain site ISO certification as well as assure closure of the Management of Environmental Health and Safety (MESH) and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis. In this function you will: Provide environmental, health, safety, and security leadership to the site. Facilitate risk assessment at low/medium risk site based on advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements. Establish and direct development and achievement of EHS objectives and targets and maintain site certifications. Conduct required training for EHS personnel; create a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion. Direct actions during crises. Determine leading/lagging indicators to track performance; support creation of goals for the site manager and appropriate goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Work with the leadership team and MESH element champions to complete the annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, local regulations. Drive and promote a zero-incident safety culture throughout the site. Utilize established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments and EHS action items. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum three (3) years of Environmental Health & Safety experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or Industrial Hygiene from an accredited institution. Master's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years of Environmental Health & Safety experience. ISO 14001 experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
