Reporting to the Executive Medical Director you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders for evidence generation and maximise opportunities for data generation to support Amgen's company goals and Medical Affairs priorities. You will contribute to observational research throughout the product commercialization process and oversee the observational research/RWE partnerships that Amgen China Medical Affairs enter into with external organizations and enable effective collaboration between Amgen and external partners. The role collaborates closely with JAPAC Medical Affairs and other local, regional and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Builds observational research capabilities, infrastructure, and cross-functional engagement:
• Lead company level evidence generation strategy and plan
• Promotes awareness, understanding, and use of observational research methods and local data sources
• Communicates significant scientific information to a variety of audiences
• Facilitate JAPAC EGK process to enable China to get funding and strategic alignment on evidence plan
• Streamline local EGP process and imporve the execution efficiency
Monitor and track EGP execution and publication plan:
• Manages the Amgen China framework of evidence generation
• Collaborates closely with JKEG on effective execution of data generation and other internal global, regional and local stakeholders on data generation and resulting publications
• Maximize synergies & prioritize opportunities across TAs
Oversees external partnerships for data generation:
• Scans the external Amgen’s environment to identify key data sources and partners on initiatives that enhance healthcare solutions and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Experience
Masters degree in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content or health sciences degree with significant observational research experience
- Experience in design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting
- Developing and executing late stage data
- Project Management, preferably in science based organization
- Depth of experience in one and desire to build depth in the remainder
- Desirable:
- Experience in Medical Affairs (min 2 years)
- Experience communicating research information (written and oral)
- Experience in working in or with Scientific Experts and Societies
- Leading and working with cross-functional teams
- Working with senior / regional management teams
Desirable Experience
- PhD in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content
