How will you make an impact?
The Maintenance Technician will ensure that our manufacturing process continues to deliver world class products as efficiently as possibly through efficient preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing, process development and quality control areas. The incumbent will assist in projects to deliver quality, productivity, safety and cost reductions across the site in support of equipment systems and laboratory upgrades.
What will you do?
- Ensure manufacturing process equipment is available and maintained to the correct standards.
- Trouble shoot equipment and process issues, and repair equipment to ensure day to day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
- Complete essential preventative maintenance tasks.
- Write, revise and review applicable equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, investigation and change controls as required.
- Oversee the service contractors who perform maintenance and repair, and participate in qualifications, delivery and installation of new equipment.
- Process in new equipment, install equipment, and relocate equipment.
How will you get here?
Education
- High school diploma and 2 years of appropriate laboratory equipment maintenance experience in a laboratory/production facility .Applicable college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Experience
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical experience applied to precision equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within a biotechnology facility or cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, electrical schematics and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write instructional procedures and provide associated training
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
