Esports Project Manager, Blizzard China

Job Description
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced esports project manager with outstanding management and communication skills to oversee the tracking, documentation, and planning of our esports programs for Blizzard franchises in China.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is flexible and can adapt quickly to changing goals and objectives in the fast-paced esports industry. This person is highly organized and able to work independently while contributing to the goals of the team while also directly managing the relationship with our China publishing operation and esports partner.
Responsibilities
Attend all 3rd party meetings, including China Publishing esports meetings to provide weekly report/visibility consistently
Develop and determine status frequency, and deliver progress reports, proposals, and requirements documentation, along with risks, contingency plans, and roadblocks to project stakeholders and esports leadership.
Track a database for all esports events to provide future comparison for more informed judgement
Central of communication with JV Publishing team, HQ esports and China PMs
Provide structured support to the CN Publishing esports and operation team
Monitor community, streaming and 3rd party organized events locally
Support the Senior Esports manager to:
Manage the execution of esports competition, events, and communication in China.
Provide industry and local insights as input to the China esports and broadcasting strategy.
Maintain relationships and shape agenda with the esports, related organizations, and cultivate new relationships as required.
Generate innovative ideas to build a healthy esports ecosystem and player community in the China.
Oversee the maintenance of Blizzard Entertainment's esports networks in China, and drive the design of the appropriate systems for each.
Develop and distribute management level reports in support of business update / reviews.
Work in close partnership with the senior esports manager and collaborative with the China Publishing team and functional esports counterparts in the Unites States to communicate updates and push for consensus.
Ensure game teams and relevant headquarter groups are aware of local events (e.g. holidays, industry events, esports events, program launches, etc.) that are relevant to ongoing operations.
Other duties as assigned to support the Senior esports manager
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, or relevant experience
A minimum of 2 years’ operational experience in the game or tech / internet industry
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
Able to communicate effectively and collaboratively with departmental, regional, and global leads
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken
Strong written, reading, and oral business communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to work with other members across the organization
Able to organize thoughts and make decisions under time constraints and a full work load
Able to interface effectively with both gamers and business people
Experience working effectively in a team environment with global team members
Passionate player of video games, particularly Blizzard Entertainment games
Able for occasional travel, including international travel
Pluses
Active participant or leader within the Blizzard Entertainment esports communities
Presentation, teaching, or other public speaking experience
Experience as a community manager
Experience in game operation, development, or design
Comprehensive knowledge of the Warcraft, StarCraft, Hearthstone and Overwatch universes
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
