We are searching for a confident and experienced candidate to join our Ethical Compliance Team.

Previous experience in a lead audit role is essential and experience within the giftware, home adornments, housewares or home accessories markets is highly desirable. Prior experience of conducting inspection is a plus. Candidates must be honest, reliable and trustworthy with an international outlook to life and business.

The Role

The role will build on your experience as a SA8000 Lead Auditor giving you the opportunity to work closely with and advise the factory on how best to meet the requirements of SA8000.

Job Description – Ethical Compliance Audit Consultant

Reporting in to the Head of QA and Ethical Compliance, you will be a key member of our Ethical Compliance Team.

Understand specific customer social compliance requirements in order to help the factories raise their standards to successfully pass customers own audits.

Make initial assessments on potential new suppliers, analyse factories performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Conduct full social compliance audits writing comprehensive audit reports documenting all findings and clearly listing all Non Compliances / conformances (NCs).

Work closely with and facilitate factory personnel to follow up all NC’s until resolved. Engage in dialogue with the key factory personnel to influence them on resolution of non-compliances. Ensure they fully understand customer requirements.

Submit evidence of issue resolution to the UK office for review and presentation to the customer.

Monitor key requirements such as time and wage records throughout the year for each key factory.

Communicate regularly to build working relationships.

Randomly check on core suppliers regards their compliance standards.

Closely communicate with our UK office and report weekly to update them about progress on each factory.

Key Skills and Attributes

Minimum 3 years audit experience

In-depth knowledge of SA8000, Smeta and ETI base code

SA8000 Lead Auditor qualification (proof required)

Experience of housewares, gift or home decoration industries

Fluent Mandarin and English
